I can't begin to get my mind around the Corapi debacle. All I know from my little speck of dust perception is that he helped me. Even if "men intended it for evil, God meant it for good." Gen . 50:20. I am just remembering that which was good, and praying for the rest. Today I was able to pray at the shrine of Saint John Neumann.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10847572866285311259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3801517556954327024.post-58702892142628182332011-07-06T22:24:18.728-04:002011-07-06T22:24:18.728-04:00I became a commited Catholic before I came across ...I became a commited Catholic before I came across the former Father Corapi. But when I did I really enjoyed listening to him on EWTN. He is a great preacher. One that I looked up to and admired. I wanted more priests to be like him. And I don't mean that masculine swagger that he has, but the ability to inspire. I have to admit that the majority of Catholic priests are rather boring. I'm one of those people that needs a good homily. I am not a saint or even inclined to the saintly. During the course of the day I may come across a dozen reasons to not believe. I need a good preacher to help me in my unbelief. A good preacher will turn all those negatives on their head and pull me closer to God. Corapi was one of those. You have to understand, most people are like me, not like all the Catholic bloggers around here. We need a Corapi. He let us down. He, if the SOLT allegations are true, is a fraud, was a fraud for quite a while. You can't say what he preached and not be commited to the Catholic life. You can't have that dsisconnect and keep moral authority. I can understanding a failing. But his failings are wide and deep and for quite a while. I pray for his soul. I pray he will repent. I hope he fades away so that we can all move on and the Church not get further besmirched.Mannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15396201693030286919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3801517556954327024.post-39408924478661000672011-07-06T21:24:51.472-04:002011-07-06T21:24:51.472-04:00Beautiful.Beautiful.TTChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08738875888053745269noreply@blogger.com
